Event Proposals: CSM-wide
Proposals for two events with CSM Creative Producer: Not Alone But Together & Feast of Conversations
A UAL-wide Academic Support workshop on collaboration hosted with Poojitha Lal and support from Adam Ramejkis, highlighting and working through the idea of collaboration as a learnable skill rather than an assumed ability.
“Most of UAL communities are based on the nationality. I feel like they treat Chinese students like tourists here. There’s no access to achives or to the history. A lot of people really want cultural exchange but feel like they are just visiting.”
Culture & Enterprise Breakfast Club
A big part of this project is support: supporting and encouraging not only my ideas but other initiatives people have to hold space for people to come together. Breakfast Club is a perfect example of this.
An afternoon discussing education, the founding and running of an alternative elementary school in the 1980s to today, pedagogical values and inspirational education thinkers, and reflection on my current project. Plus, communal singing!

A 45-minute presentation and workshop offering an experience of and reflections on the emergent networks of knowledges and communications that arose from the non-hierarchical, transdisciplinary approach of Ramejkis’ series of sessions: Communication through intercultural lenses.
In collaboration with MAIM student Poojitha Lal, an in-person presentation of our experiences with the university, the lack of collaborative possibilities, and a challenge to the audience.
“We need the wider academic support audience here to take these deficits seriously and work towards more spaces, resources, and support for the social space of learning and community.”
